Templars: Friday the 13th October 1307

This is the night Philippe le Bel sent his armed militia to arrest all the Templars in France. A few managed to escape, allegedly with some treasure, and perhaps even the "holy Grail", whatever this may be. The chest certainly contains interesting, if not detrimental documents or items. At this point, the soldiers of Philippe can be heard hammering at the front door. The escape, if successful, will be very adventurous.

This piece was exhibited at The Art of Digital Show, at the Lyceum Theatre Gallery in San Diego. It was selected by Dr. Hugh Davies from 2730 entries which were submitted by artists from 32 countries around the world! Wow! Good to know your history. I know I know it. I didn't have to see the thumb' to know what this is about. A real sad event, IMO, you captured it wonderfully. I'm a real whore for Templars and their heritage. :heart:

Wonderful piece :) I like this tail, how the Templars were to be arrested [and killed :(] but they ran! And hid the Holy Grail :O
