This is the box cover for the a new board game that I worked on and that came out recently. It's about Easter Island's and is a resource management game. It's also an allegory for the destruction of a microcosm by overpopulation (kind of what we're doing to our big blue planet, but that happened on an island scale.)
I did all the art (cards, box, etc..) except for the board, who was done by my friend Lars Grant-West.
Personally, I enjoy the game very much and I would recommend it to anyone who like strategy/resource management-type games. I've already been paid for my art and am not making any benefits from the sales, so the comment isn't biased that way
Here's the original catalog and more explanations:
Very fun piece. I think it would have been funny if you made their faces exactly like that of the statue heads. I know old joke but still a goodie. I really like the perspective on this piece very nice and dramatic and very good detail I think the figures could be worked a little more just something is not feeling right especially in the hands.

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
